Other than buying your work, is there another way I can support you and/or other artists?
-The easiest? Follow on social media. Like, (most importantly) SHARE, and (SUPER most importantly) SAVE to your collection when on Instagram.
-Look out for Patreon pages! My page is coming soon! Monthly KKA content subscriptions start at $15/mo.
-Give pieces as gifts! This is the most wholesome thing. It warms my heart any time I hear someone is gifting my work.
-Google us! I know it sounds silly, but google ‘Kate Kolodi Art’ whenever you think of it. The increased traffic helps the algorithm gods send others my way.
-The best, though? Stock my shelves! I’ve created an Amazon list of things I use frequently. If you feel like sending something my way, you’ll receive a 20% discount code for my website. You can find the list here: Kate Kolodi Art Amazon List
-Tips! Like what you see?? Buy me a beer or even my dinner! Just toss a few bucks in my Venmo by following this link: Venmo

Where are you located?
Currently in Skagway, AK. I offer local pick-up and shipping options worldwide. No store-front. Some services offered virtually.
-
What's the best way to contact you?
Email. Or the inquiry option on my ‘Contact’ page. Please, even if I see you daily, please don’t talk shop via text or social media. My brain is full of song lyrics and quotes from The Office so it doesn’t have room for much else. Everything is organized in my email.
-
Do you take commissions?
Typically, no. But I’m open to the idea. Feel free to send me an inquiry, though. That way, when I have the time and brain space for a commission, I’ll have all the information I need to reach out and get it going.
-
Do you teach?
I can! If you’re interested in drawing mediums or learning about some of the materials or programs I work with, I’d be more than happy to show you. I offer everything over zoom, and the first consultation is free!
-
What programs do you use?
It depends on the project. I rely heavily on Adobe Photoshop, but I’ll work through concepts with Procreate.
-
Can I get a piece in a different size?
Maybe. If it’s a limited-edition print, I will only ever print in the size listed. If the item description doesn’t say that it’s a limited edition, then I can probably print in the size you’re looking for. Just shoot me an email.

I need help with frames.
No problem. I typically go for black metal frames and anti-glare glass. Glass is heavy and you risk damaging the art if it breaks, however, it’s still my favorite choice. Plexi scratches and the anti-glare brands sometime appear foggy which can effect the overall visual impact of the art.
I buy cheap frames online and I’ll be happy to share those links, though they typically come with cheap Plexi and poor hanging hardware.
If you’re looking for something more durable but still trying to save, I recommend frame kits on art supplies sites such as this one: Blick Art Materials
If you’re wanting the best quality, or if you are uncomfortable framing it yourself, definitely reach out to local frame shops. I don’t typically recommend art supply chains for framing services, and always love supporting small businesses instead.
-
Can you show me how a few pieces would look together or how they could be arranged?
Absolutely. Shoot me an email and let me know which ones. Happy to help.
-
Your site just accepts Paypal. Do you accept other forms of payment?
Absolutely. Square’s options are limited, but I take several forms of payment outside of my site. I take cash, credit/debit, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle. Just shoot me an email and we can figure it out.
-
Would you be open to a trade?
Typically, no. Unless it’s something I am actively seeking. (FYI— Always actively seeking tattoos.) Even still, I typically prefer to pay myself. I am open to the idea, though, so feel free to reach out.
-
Do you sell originals?
All the time. I’m just slow at producing and I like to show them for at least a year, so I don’t often have them on hand.
-
I’m an artist and could use some advice…
Awesome. I will absolutely share what I’ve learned through my experiences and the resources I’ve found helpful. Shoot me an email.
-
Why don't you open an Etsy shop?
I have one. I have never sold anything on Etsy. Etsy has been flooded with drop-shippers and mass-producers. No one even knows I have an Etsy, otherwise, this question wouldn’t be listed on my FAQ. Etsy is not for makers anymore.

Do you sell your reference images?
I hear this one a lot. And now I try to use these moments to educate. I am 100% supportive of safe and consensual sex work. That’s not what I do here.
There’s a really wonderful discussion about nude art vs erotic art, and an important component of that complex conversation is artist intent. A good question to ask, if you are unsure— “Is that person showing off their [insert derogatory term for a specific body part], or do they just have [said body part]?”
My utmost priority is creating a safe and empowering place for women. And I don’t always use my own body for my reference images. My commission clients and models will always have my protection- ethically, morally, and even legally under contract.
I do not make erotic art. I would never sell my reference images because you are not asking for reference images. You are asking for nudes.
(One of my favorite podcasts Art History Babes does a great job discussing the difference between nudity and eroticism here: Episode 175.)
